JOB OVERVIEW
The College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases Research Unit (IDRU), Virology Laboratory, is currently accepting applications for a full time 100% FTE, research assistant, to assist with processing, storage, and shipment of clinical research study samples. This individual will work collaboratively to ensure protocol adherence and integrity of study samples.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Responsible for processing, storage, and shipment of specimens as defined by protocol requirements using provided lab manuals in accordance with established policies, procedures, and trainings. *Apply critical thinking skills to resolve errors and streamline efforts. *Perform related duties based on departmental need. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be available to work flexible hours/nights/weekends.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
*Bachelor's Degree. *Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED
At least one year of laboratory experience
