Job Description:

What is the role

As a Senior Quantitative Researcher, you will:

Research quantitative methods to evaluate complex deal types including renewable power purchase agreements and battery tolls

Develop analytical libraries and tools leveraging both open source and proprietary numerical software packages

Tackle storage and compute challenges across large datasets and parallel computations

Design, develop, and deploy elegant software solutions

Document software and process

Create acceptance criteria and validate solutions through defining and coordinating testing

Partner with Deal Structurers, Originators, and Traders to define priorities

Receive training on power markets and deal valuation

Requirements:

Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent field

5 or more years of relevant experience

Expertise in Python

Experience with Distributed Computing and Database Design

Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills

Strong interpersonal skills and a “team first” mentality

Passion for technology, software development, and mathematics

Strong written and verbal communications skills

Ability to learn quickly and deliver results with minimal guidance
