General Summary:
Works under general supervision of Dr. Daniel Dickstein (Director McLean Pediatric Mood, Imaging, & NeuroDevelopment Program ****Clinical research assistant works directly with child and adolescent research participants, helping conduct interviews, collect questionnaires, perform computer testing, assist MRI scanning, and helps with data analysis and publication.
Principal Duties:
Screen and schedule child and adolescent research participants and families.
Assists data collection, including being trained to administer interviews, questionnaires, IQ screening, special emotion/cognition computer games, and collect magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) brain scan.
Assists with data cleaning, analyses, interpretation, and publication.
Works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to conduct research, including maintaining research records and IRB protocols.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS or BA (required) in psychology, neuroscience, biology, computer science, or related fields.
12 months of relevant course or project work.



Skills/Abilities Required:
Working knowledge of at least 2 of the following is required: (1) SPSS, (2) Excel, (3) MRI analysis software (e.g., AFNI, FSL, or SPM), OR (4) basic unix programming (e.g., basic C-shell scripting).
Ability/enjoyment in working with children and families.
Good interpersonal skills and team mentality.
Detail oriented and eager to learn.
Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
Experience:
Some research experience preferred.
Some experience and interest working with children, teens, or young adults preferred-whether in research, childcare, summer camp, team sports, or mentorship (big sisters/brothers).
Undergraduate coursework or projects may be considered as appropriate experience and may be credited upon hire
All employees must possess basic computer skills to use a variety of electronic or online systems for communication, clinical and administrative purposes.
