The Cardiology Research Division at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando Florida is seeking a Manager of Clinical Trials Coordinator. The candidate will be responsible for managing assigned team members involved in the operational implementation of research protocols. The individual will collaborate with physicians, nurses and administrators regarding protocol resources, planning, implementation and evaluation. They will ensure compliance to all standards, policies and quality measures.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Provides overall coordination of protocol activities.
Assigns work to manage protocol activity and ensure compliance to all standards, policies and quality measures. • Collaborates with physicians and administrators regarding protocol resources, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Develops resources for research protocols in collaboration with various hospital service lines.
Coordinates, plans and develops training programs for professional and ancillary staff responsible for clinical implementation.
Manages department budget.
Coordinates Operational Integration with other departments, reporting to Patient Care Administrator.
Manages various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. policies and procedures.
Other Related Functions
Oversees assigned personnel in the accuracy of clinical data capture and study activities coordination as well as during the preparation of site audits.
Attends appropriate departmental and/or corporate meetings.
Attends study group and investigator meetings as required.
Demonstrates expertise in using computer software specific to department.
Qualifications
Education/Training
Bachelor's degree required.
Licensure/Certification
None.
Experience
Four (4) years of experience in clinical research required.
