Description
Koch Energy Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Natural Gas Market Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player, self-starter and principled entrepreneur with strong communication and critical-thinking skills, good economic thought processes, overall business acumen and the ability to perform under pressure and deadlines.
Position will be home-based, near any Koch office location and will include travel up to 25%.
What You Will Do In Your Role
Providing guidance and mentorship to KES's existing analysts by providing feedback on their analysis techniques and methodology
Create short to long term POV's on US natural gas prices for a diverse audience of senior executives, traders, and internal asset managers and executives
Lead weekly and ad hoc discussions to disseminate POV and discuss key fundamental drivers to determine strategies to profit from POV
Building sound mental models and frameworks to help the team understand key pricing mechanisms
Performing ad hoc analysis under short deadlines to assist your team with analyzing and capitalizing on rapid changes in the market
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
Experience working with Microsoft Excel (Edit/Create VBA), Databases, and programing experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, Statistics, Engineering, or a related degree
Advanced understanding of energy/commodity markets with a particular expertise in natural gas
What Will Put You Ahead
Experience with modeling and/or econometrics
Experience with Tableau, Power BI, SQL, and/or Python programming
Master's Degree
